About Axel Molist

Early Foundations

Born in Barcelona and raised in the coastal town of Lloret de Mar, Axel grew up surrounded by creativity, tourism, and early entrepreneurial lessons. From selling refreshments to tourists to experimenting with pricing and marketing in his father’s photography business, he discovered early on that he loved building things and improving experiences.

A Path Shaped by Curiosity

Driven by a passion for technology and music, Axel explored academic and creative avenues across Spain and the UK. Whether studying engineering, producing in recording studios, or DJing nightly in Southampton, he consistently gravitated toward innovation, autonomy, and environments where creativity could thrive. These years shaped his multidisciplinary outlook - part technical, part artistic, fully entrepreneurial.

Building a Career Through Reinvention

After several attempts to break into the music industry, Axel pivoted unexpectedly into telecommunications, where he quickly excelled. That momentum led him to launch his own ventures, eventually forming circle.cloud. Starting from scratch - handling sales, installs, support, and everything in between - Axel built the company to over 100 people, fully bootstrapped, with no outside investment. He remains its founder and chairman, with a CEO now running the day-to-day.

Growing an Ecosystem of Modern Technology Companies

Over the years, Axel expanded into investment and software ventures, including MKMC Investments and later Minimal, a Dubai-based software company founded in 2024 that owns the intellectual property for all of his software products.

His primary focus now is We UC, the software company behind Olatti - a unified communications platform built as a modern alternative to Microsoft Teams and legacy PBX systems for small and medium businesses. Calls, video, messaging, and collaboration in one place. With a 20-person engineering team, Olatti distils everything Axel learned running circle.cloud for 15 years into a product designed around what businesses actually need from their communications. We UC also distributes the rest of his software - Quenta, Evalua and The Scheduler, with Coet coming soon.

Axel’s work is grounded in meticulous attention to detail, a love for beautifully engineered systems, and a belief that technology should enhance life, not complicate it. Outside of work, he prioritises family, wellness, and a flexible lifestyle between the UK, where he lives and where most of his companies are based, Spain, and Dubai.
