Founder session
My company runs day to day without me. Let's work on yours.
A 60-minute paid session for founders whose business still runs on them. I founded circle.cloud, grew it to 100+ people with no outside investment, and handed the day-to-day to a CEO. We'll look at how your business is set up and you'll leave with a plan for stepping out of it.
This is for you if
- Your business sells, has customers and a team, and still runs on you.
- Every big deal or decision still comes back to your desk.
- You've never hired or promoted the person who'd run it instead of you, or you have and you don't trust it yet.
- A week off means a week on your phone.
It isn't for you if you want marketing coaching, an ongoing adviser or a step-by-step course.
What we cover
Where it depends on you
We go through the decisions, clients and jobs that still need you, and sort the ones that really do from the ones that only feel like they do.
Who to promote
circle.cloud's chief commercial officer, Jordan Evans, joined as our telemarketing manager. He wasn't great on the phones himself, but he was a natural with people, and that's where I saw his value. Now he runs every commercial team we have. We look at who's already in your building and what they'd need to step up.
When a board helps
circle.cloud has never had an outside investor, and it has a board. We talk about whether yours needs one yet, and who would sit on it.
Before you hire a CEO
Graham joined circle.cloud as sales manager in 2019 and became CEO in January 2026. Whether your CEO comes from inside or outside, some things have to be in place before they start. We work out which of those you already have.
Where AI takes work off your team
Only what I've used myself: a 20-person dev team at We UC building Olatti with AI every day, and an expenses app I built on my own. AI is part of the plan, not the plan.
What you leave with
- A plan for stepping out of the day-to-day: what to hand over first, to whom, and what has to be true before the next step.
- A clear view of where the business depends on you today.
- A written recap of what we covered and the actions I'd take, in order, sent after the call.
Why me
I started circle.cloud in 2015 from a spare room: a desk, two bookshelves and a phone. For the first three and a half years I did the cold calling, the selling, the installs, the billing and the support myself.
Then I hired people, trained them and promoted them. The telemarketing manager I hired is now our chief commercial officer. Graham joined as sales manager and is now CEO. circle.cloud is 100+ people today, and it's never taken outside investment.
I'm still founder and executive chairman. Most of my week goes on We UC, where we're building Olatti.
I've done this once, in my own company. I'm not a consultant with a framework. In the hour, I'll tell you what I'd do in your seat, and why.
How it works
- Book and pay. Pick a slot and pay £450 + VAT at checkout.
- Answer a few questions. About your business and what still depends on you, so we start on the problem, not the introductions.
- Talk for 60 minutes. On video, about your business.
- Leave with a plan. After the call I send you a written recap of what we covered and the actions I'd take, in order.
£450 + VAT
Paid upfront at booking. No refunds once paid. One reschedule allowed.
Questions
Is this a sales call?
No. I won't pitch you circle.cloud or Olatti. You've paid for the hour, so the hour is yours.
Can I bring someone else from my business?
Yes. Bring one other person from the same business, at no extra cost.
What if I need to reschedule?
You can move your session once. After that, the booking stands.
Do you do ongoing work?
Not at the moment. It's one session, and you leave with a plan you can run yourself.
Can you help with my marketing?
No. I'm learning distribution in public with Olatti right now, and I won't charge you for something I'm still working out.
Not ready to book? I write about what I'm building and what ten years of circle.cloud taught me.
